Here are for FAQs about providing a meal this semester:

How many people will there be? We can’t say for sure until the semester gets a bit further along, but this year we are expecting about 20-25 people at our gatherings, so as of now planning on 25-30 students should be about right just to play it safe (and students are always excited to take leftovers home).

What are the dietary restrictions? We have one student with a peanut allergy, so it’s best if the meal can be peanut free if possible. If the meal does contain nuts, please let us know. We also typically have two or three vegetarians in the group, so the whole meal does not need to be meatless, but please make sure there is still enough food for our vegetarians to enjoy a full meal.

Does it need to be a homecooked meal? Nope! You are welcome to provide any meal you’d like, whether it’s something you’ve made or something you’ve purchased.

Can I cook at the Campus Ministry building? Sure! We have two ovens and a stovetop and an assortment of cooking utensils and bowls/trays/etc. If you’d like to do your cooking here, you might want to plan on bringing your own essential cookware or check with us ahead of time to make sure we have what you need.

What time should I arrive and when will we be done? Our Sunday schedule starts with band practice and worship prep from 4:30-5:30, and then we worship from about 5:30-6:30, and then dinner starts about 6:30. You’d be welcome to come as early as you need, or you could roll in closer to 6:15 with food ready. Either way, we hope you’ll stick around and eat with us so that we can connect with you during dinner, and you can get a glimpse of what this community is like. We stay pretty late sometimes, so you’re welcome to hang out a while or just drop off the meal and go.

Other questions? Please give a call or email and ask! We’re so grateful for your help and we want to assist you any way we can. Thanks!
